Welcome to AWC, you can certainly interact with our pastor and our church through the blog and email on this website, but we would love to have you join us for our celebration service on Wednesday evenings @ 6:30pm. We do our best to create a relaxed environment, but are aware that entering into unknown territory can be daunting. Below is some information that will help you feel more comfortable:

What to expect

Leave your suit at home – the dress code is business casual to very casual!
Coffee, Juice, and Doughnuts – what calms the nerves better than a glaze doughnut?
There will be between 50 and 100 adults in service, most of us will be aware that you are new, but we will not make you come on stage and sing a song for us as an initiation rite of passage!
If you have children, you may want to come 5 minutes early to help them get acquainted with their new environment – children in the 6th grade or under are invited to participate in our children’s ministry during the service.
Don’t worry about being on time – no one else does! Remember we live in Alaska and so 80% of our attendees usually come about 5 minutes late.
Levi Smith is our pastor and will probably introduce himself – he is bald, but incredibly good looking!
The Service usually lasts until 11:45am.
