Welcome to AWC, we would love to partner with you in your spiritual journey. We believe that following the way of Christ is infinitely fascinating and provocative and would love to share that life with you. Our community does its best to be authentic, transparent, accepting, intense, & fun. Please know that we stopped admitting perfect people long ago and prefer to think of ourselves as people grounded in the reality of our imperfection. We are at the same time very excited about the transformation we see taking place in our own lives as we follow the Master.

We hope that you find our website as friendly as our church drives to be! The lord has placed a burden on our hearts to serve this community in a variety of ways and we hope that even this website can bring you truth, encouragement, and love.

Background

Anchorage Wesleyan Church was started in summer of 2000, when a group of believers from the Wyoming/Dakota area of the lower 48 moved to Anchorage with some unique passions for what Anchorage needed the church to be. Since that time we have labored many hours in order to be able to impact our community by the love of Jesus Christ in a growing, substantial way. We are convinced that there is no other effort on earth more worthy to commit ourselves to than the task that we are now undertaking.
